Rugged Ridge All Terrain floor mat liners and cargo area liners provide the best protection to the interior of your Jeep, pickup truck or SUV. That’s because these Rugged Ridge floor liners are far more than just a floor mat. First, they’re made of a durable thermoplastic elastomer that withstands the elements, the wear and tear of daily use and shrugs off water and dirt. Cleaning is a simple matter of removing them from your vehicle and hosing them off. But what really sets these liners apart is the fact that they are custom-molded to fit your vehicle precisely. Their snug fit and high perimeter walls will keep water and mud off your vehicle’s interior. Choose from three colors and custom-fitted liners to fit front and rear seating areas and cargo areas for your specific vehicle.
Both the terms floor mats and floor liners are often used interchangeably, however most consumers don’t realize that there are differences between floor mats and floor liners. These differences may not appear all that significant, but they are. You will want to understand the differences to make an informed decision and find the right solution for your needs.
The Difference Between Floor Mats and Floor Liners
Floor mats and floor liners in essence have the same overall function, which is protecting your Jeep or truck’s carpets from stains, spills and other debris. However minor the differences, they should be considered when deciding if you need floor liners or floor mats.
Floor mats lay flat on your floorboard and, more often than not, have an elevated ridge around the perimeter to contain fluids and keep them from spilling onto your carpet. Floor liners have outer walls that go up the sides of your floorboards. These higher (and usually somewhat rigid) walls provide the most protection against spills, mud, snow and other debris
Knowing the differences between floor liners and floor mats, we chose the Rugged Ridge All Terrain Floor Liners to be our premier brand of floor protection. We understand how our offroad customers use their Jeeps and Trucks.
Rugged Ridge All Terrain Floor Liners are not your typical truck floor liner! Existing floor liners in the market today are constructed of extruded plastic materials which are vacuum formed to fit the vehicle. Rugged Ridge has taken a completely different approach to floor protection. Each All Terrain Floor Liner is injection molded for superior fit and quality. The injection molding process, though more expensive to develop, allows us to create a floor liner that has exacting measurements for better fit and finish along with a deeply formed perimeter wall for maximum coverage. Each All Terrain Floor Liner has chevrons that are up to 3/8" deep. That is up to 3 times the depth of other floor liners! We call this true "Deep Tread Technology"!
